  • Top 5 AI programs
  • Popular AI tokens
  • Conclusion

Most people have not even realized how fundamental artificial intelligence has become in our everyday life over the last decade. This is in part due to the fact that the boundaries of what is considered a simple computer script and what can be called AI are not always clear. Even during a simple Google search, the suggestions you see are the product of a so-called “neural network”, based on your profile history and the search history of hundreds of millions of people around the world with a similar profile.

AI research focuses on machine learning and neural networks. Neural networks are very complex computer algorithms that “intuitively” try to find patterns and correlations between big data to come up with useful predictions. To train an AI you need to create thousands of random neural networks and then continue developing those that brought the best results. Repeating the process enough times and with some manual human adjustments, the final result will be an AI that will be reasonably good at, let’s say, predicting which movies you might like. Or which stocks you should buy (but do not rely on that advice, though).

Today we will take a look at the most trending neural networks in 2023 and see what projects decided to combine crypto and AI.

Top 5 AI programs

You have probably heard about various neural networks lately. They’re everywhere, people are discussing the future of most digital positions and fear losing a job. It’s not so bad though — AI is so far away from being 100% autonomous, so probably we’ll witness the emergence of demand for new specialists such as AI managers.

  1. Amazon Alexa

Amazon’s personal assistant software is probably the most well-known AI that has been around for numerous years now. You can give Alexa voice commands and she will answer simple questions, such as tell you a good recipe, or do small tasks, such as book you an appointment online.

  1. ChatGPT

ChatGPT is the latest and hottest AI text generator. It can write generic and neutral short essays on any topic based on keywords. It’s far from perfect for any specific use, but if you just need some text on a topic, let’s say for homework, ChatGPT can do it in under a minute.

  1. Starryai

This is one of the AI image creators that have been in the spotlight recently. AI art creator software is able to create beautiful images based on a bunch of keywords and other simple instructions. If the input is good enough, no one can tell whether the result was made by a human or software.

  1. FaceApp

FaceApp is an application that allows you to heavily edit photos of yourself or other people. It is basically a simplified version of the software that is used in Hollywood movies.

  1. WebMD

WebMD is a simple online tool that tries to give you medical advice based on your symptoms and medical history. While doctors are still a million times more trustworthy than software, applications like this highlight the huge future potential of AI in medical science.

Popular AI tokens

Artificial Intelligence is also used in the traditional and crypto finance world alike. In fact, there are now more bots making trades than humans, although they ultimately are still controlled by humans. The use of AI is especially important in managing incredibly complex peer to peer networks in DeFi. It can also greatly help in managing big blockchain ecosystems more efficiently, for example, dynamically allocating computing resources to enable faster validation. Essentially any crypto that incorporates AI in some way can be called an “AI” coin, so this is yet another term that has unclear boundaries. However, there are a few interesting AI coins to highlight.

SingularityNET (AGIX)

This is a project to create a DeFi platform fully managed by AI. Human mismanagement, greed and malicious intent can all be eradicated by letting an AI control a crypto ecosystem. What is a dangerous utopia reminding many of the Terminator movies, is the perfectly balanced network immune to any wrongful human intervention in the eyes of many. The platform also offers a framework for building and commercializing AI applications.

Numerai (NMR)

This is a digital hedge fund that uses AI to trade on the traditional and crypto markets. Trading bots are very common nowadays, but trying to train a complex neural network to make successful investments with very minimal human interaction is still something new. Token holders can share the benefits of Numerai’s success.

Cortex (CTXC)

Cortex is a platform that specializes in executing machine learning on blockchain networks. Due to the special nature of a blockchain, traditional machine learning models are highly inefficient on these networks. Cortex is an open-source peer-to-peer platform dedicated to building machine learning AI models on the blockchain.

Conclusion

More and more AI-based crypto projects are appearing on the market — and we can see how the industry is changing through the use of artificial intelligence technology. Soon there will be hundreds of AI coins available on exchanges, but it’s always important to do good old research before investing or buying a coin.
