AI Took Over SimpleSwap Twitter Account

Artificial intelligence is developing by leaps and bounds — every month we read news about the experimental opportunities offered by developers working with neural networks. You have probably heard about ChatGPT, an AI chat bot made by OpenAI. It works via the dialogue mode and is one of the most user-friendly systems yet made. 

SimpleSwap is keeping up with the trends, so we have decided to give ChatGPT a try by letting it be our social media marketing manager for a while. 

What happened? 

First, we asked ChatGPT to create a 5-day content plan for SimpleSwap’s Twitter account. Since Monday, it had to post one or two publications daily. The content plan was perfect, so we approved it right away and started our little experiment. 

We’ve decided to keep the posts unedited, so everything you see on our Twitter from 6 to 10 February is entirely made by AI. The requests should have been made accurate within a word, so ChatGPT would not mess with our Twitter.   

Interesting fact: we haven’t mentioned that the neural network is posting during that week, to see if our followers would notice anything. Spoiler: nobody did.  

Let’s take a look at the tweets made by the AI. On Monday, there was a small advertisement tweet. As you can see, CharGPT has used the hashtags and it's great:

It is Wednesday my dudes, so ChatGPT decided to share some trading and storage tips:

On Thursday, you could see two posts with crypto prices updates and SimpleSwap video telling about what to expect from the industry in February: 

Friday was the last day with ChatGPT as our SMM manager, so it made a little interaction post:

What to consider while working with ChatGPT?

Of course, the technology is far from perfect now, so if you decide to use it for your brand, make sure to be very attentive. Here are a few specifics we’ve noticed:

1. ChatGPT is capable of writing both short and long descriptions for articles and videos, but it’s very important to make a good request and provide a proper link to the material you want to be announced;
2. the neural network knows the difference between tweets and Telegram posts, it uses hashtags but sometimes makes mistakes with the symbols quantity. You can prevent it by asking “to write a tweet with 140 symbols about…”;
3. it can create threads in Twitter and understands how they work;
4. you can manage its tone of voice, whether you need it to be more friendly or official;
5. It cannot collect fresh information like news or price updates. However you can ask it to write a sample of the post and put your own numbers in it.       

If you follow these guidelines, your feed might get a little more interesting and diverse. Just make sure to check the texts before posting them. 

Our conclusion

Overall, there was no significant change in coverage and activity. To get more results, the experiment needs some more time and practice. 

In total, ChatGPT is a very convenient and time-saving instrument for content creation. It will definitely help many managers make engaging posts, which will surprise the followers and make your life easier.   

What’s next?
