El Salvador Introduced a Visa For $1 Million USDT
In El Salvador, an initiative has been introduced to grant citizenship and visas in exchange for investments amounting to $1 million in BTC or USDT. The main idea of this program is to attract individuals capable of making substantial economic and social contributions. It also aims to position the country as a global center for technology, freedom, and new capital markets based on Bitcoin.
This opportunity is extended to a maximum of 1000 people annually, who are eager to contribute to the establishment of a "Bitcoin nation". The investments solicited through this program will be used to foster the cultural and economic development of El Salvador, especially such sectors as education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
It is noteworthy that applications may encompass multiple individuals, including spouses and children, potentially influencing the overall investment amount. As previously reported, El Salvador's foray into Bitcoin investments has proven successful, yielding $3.6 million profits.
However, in contrast to alternative jurisdictions, El Salvador's citizenship offering stands significantly more expensive. In neighboring states within the Caribbean Basin, such as Antigua, Barbuda, Dominica, and Saint Lucia, the minimum investment threshold commences at $100,000. For example, Malta provides citizenship for investments totaling €750,000 euros (approximately $810,000), affording access to the visa-free Schengen Zone within the European Union, comprising 23 countries.
