The British Museum's entry into the Sandbox's metaverse has been officially confirmed. It is an exciting collaboration that will give birth to a brand new NFT collection, which will be created with the assistance of the French startup, LaCollection.

Prior to this new partnership, LaCollection and the British Museum had already worked together and released three NFT collections. The initial collection, unveiled in the autumn of 2021, featured 200 tokens inspired by the artworks of Katsushika Hokusai. This was followed by a second collection in January 2022, which showcased 20 paintings by Joseph Mallord William Turner. The third one, presented in April 2022, displayed the works of the skilled italian engraver, Giovanni Battista Piranesi.

In the new NFT collection the Sandbox wants to capture the essence of the British Museum's historical significance since its establishment in 1753 through digital art. This groundbreaking project aims to grant users from all over the world access to the renowned museum's treasures, thereby expanding its audience and impact.

This partnership is one of The Sandbox's many successful collaborations. It has previously worked with prominent entities such as MBC, a television company, the Hong Kong insurance giant AXA, and even the esteemed Saudi Arabian authorities. The Sandbox continues to forge innovative partnerships, pushing the boundaries of the metaverse experience. We also spoke about other extraordinary abilities of metaverses in this article.
