The Fake “SimpleSwap Bonus” Script Making the Rounds

Part of “Know the Scam by SimpleSwap.” A script promising a hidden loyalty bonus is spreading across forums and Telegram groups, with reported numbers as high as 25-32%. It has nothing to do with SimpleSwap, and running it can hand your funds to someone else.

What’s happening

A post or a private message claims SimpleSwap is quietly running a higher loyalty tier, available only if you install a browser extension or run a short script first. It is making the rounds on trading forums and in Telegram groups, often presented as an “insider trick” or a “leaked” bonus code. The figure attached to it has recently shifted, now ranging from 25% to 32%. The underlying mechanic has not changed at all.

None of it is true. It’s a scam that borrows SimpleSwap’s name, not a real loyalty perk. SimpleSwap’s actual program lives at simpleswap.io, and no script unlocks a hidden version of it.

How the trick works

Userscript managers are legitimate tools that millions of people use to run small scripts on sites they trust. This scam works by getting you to load a stranger’s script into it and point that script at SimpleSwap, which has nothing to do with installing an official SimpleSwap tool.

The version circulating right now is formatted like a private security write-up, with a summary and screenshots, and is even labeled as a “proof of concept”. It feels like something a researcher would disclose, not a tip from a stranger. That polish is what makes it convincing, more than the substance underneath it.

Once it is running, the script does one thing: it swaps the deposit address on the real SimpleSwap page for one controlled by the scammer. Your screen still shows the right amount and the swap details you entered. Only the destination changes, and by the time the transaction confirms on-chain, there is nothing left to redirect.

The story about a server bug is what gets people to install it. A plain “secret bonus” pitch is easy to ignore. A technical flaw you can supposedly exploit feels different, and that difference is the entire hook.

The number is the tell

There’s no 25% tier sitting behind a bug for anyone to unlock, because the program doesn’t go that high in the first place. The only place your rewards exist

Every Loyalty Program benefit is calculated and paid out in your account on simpleswap.io or in the official SimpleSwap app. There’s no other channel. SimpleSwap does not offer a browser extension, and it never runs a script to raise your tier or unlock a bonus rate. If a message tells you otherwise, it didn’t come from SimpleSwap.

How to stay clear of it

• Reach your account only through simpleswap.io, or through the official app from theApp Store or Google Play. The Android APK is posted directly on simpleswap.io too, never anywhere else.
• Treat any script that promises to “unlock” a bonus as hostile by default. SimpleSwap never asks you to install something to receive a reward you’ve already earned.
